TT3D Closer To The Edge – Intense documentary about the Isle of Man TT races

The main problem with sports documentaries are that, if you aren’t mad into that particular sport, they are as boring as hell. TT 3D: Closer To The Edge, despite having a pain in the arse title to type out every time, is the one to break that mould. It is simply wonderful.

Not for the first time have we managed to completely overlook the arrival of a band who are so up our street we’re practically neighbours. Still Corners are *reads from press release* Greg Hughes, Tessa Murray, Luke Jarvis and Leon Dufficy, and they’re based in Greenwich. Not particularly interesting facts, we admit. But the fact we like it might give you a clue that their music is on the healthy side of shoegazey, with tumbling drums, trance-inducing swirly noises, Field Mice-style basslines and Julee Cruise-esque vocals.
