Paul McCartney engaged to Nancy Shevell, Heather Mills weeps into empty piggy bank

A big, fat congratulations to Paul McCartney and Nancy Shevell, whose engagement was confirmed yesterday. No details yet, but we are led to believe there was at least one knee and one ring involved in the engagement process. Shevell will be Macca’s third wife, having married Linda McCartney in 1969 and, regretfully, Heather Mills in 2002. And the latter was rumoured to have been spotted legless on the side of a pavement last night after spending the last three quid of her £24M divorce fee on a bottle of White Lightening.
