Astonishing airport security news. Peter Mayhew, the 69-year-old English actor famous for playing Chewbacca in the original Star Wars trilogy was prevented from boarding a plane from Denver to Dallas because he was carrying a lightsaber. Before you point out that Wookiees are not trained in Jedi arts, the “weapon” is actually the 7ft3ins actor’s walking cane. The Gamorrean Guards at the TSA said it was too long to take on the plane.
