Patrick Carney, the drummer from the Black Keys, was making his merry way back from the Grammys on Sunday night after winning three awards when a reporter accosted him and – having not done a single bit of homework – focused his line of questioning on Justin Bieber’s absence from the nominations list. Here’s what Patrick said as he juggled his trophies and tried to fish out his hotel door key;

“He’s rich, right? Grammys are for, like, music, not for money … and he’s making a lot of money. He should be happy, I guess.”

Well, despite the brief statement being factually correct, Bieber was NOT happy. And neither were his mental fans. Here’s what happened next…

Back in the days of yore before Christmas had even started properly, Heidi Klum’s Halloween party was cancelled due to Hurricane Sandy hitting New York. It was a wise move – particularly since the hostess announced that the rescheduled event would be a fundraiser for the Red Cross. Plus it gave everyone a chance to dust off their weird Halloween gear again – so very much better than a Christmas sweater and Santa hat. In fact, everyone should attend their office Christmas party in Halloween dress this year. Bane is a good idea, although it’s a bugger to eat mini sausages in, so perhaps Julia Roberts as a hooker in Pretty Woman would be a better…

While traditionally fashion and music ever-so-slightly come together, the fact that the Brit Awards and London Fashion Week clash in schedule causes a bit of a divide. For a while we could rely on Alexa Chung to bridge the gap, although her split with Alex Turner saw the end of that – CHEERS, CHUNG! We would’ve happily given the duty to Nicola Roberts, but she didn’t turn up either Still, who needs trends when you can have full on eye-catching gimmick? Yep, that would be Geri Halliwell in her Union Jack flag, Lady Gaga in her toilet roll cover or Kylie with Justin Timberlake hanging off her arse.
