Battleship Australian premiere: Rihanna’s in a film, sounds awesome.

When we saw the first trailer for Battleship we thought Rihanna was going to have a tiny role in this slightly suspect film. Maybe she was going to be pretty-girl-who-gets-eaten-by-shark-robot or girl-who-holds-gun-in-distance-and-then-gets-eaten-by-shark-robot or, ideally, voice-of-shark-robot. We hoped that was true, anyway.

Drive soundtrack: awesome music to complement awesome film

X Factor 2011: Sami Brookes and Lascel Wood do awesome, don’t sing Adele.

This week on The X Factor…more shit girlbands, more Rowland tears, more deadpan Barlow criticism and more backstage shenanigans!
Only a few weeks in, and the new judging panel has settled in very nicely indeed. We love the camaraderie between Louis and Tulisa, and Kelly’s constant tears (does she have the world’s weakest tear ducts?!) and the fact that Gary can occupy the Cowell chair without exuding too much smugness. We also love that we’re getting at least one Adele cover a week, and with this week’s show being a double bill, that can only mean more tears, more shouting and more Adele!

The Big Lebowski blu-ray launch: cast reunites, look as awesome as ever
