News reaches us (we read it in The Guardian) that the hardest rocking band in the world, and close personal friends of HM, Steel Panther have had the posters for their new album Balls Out banned for being “overtly sexual”, after the Advertising Standards Authority received four complaints that most definitely didn’t come from the band’s record label or PR company in an attempt to drum up some publicity.

Following on from Marc Jacobs campaign getting banned for featuring a picture of a 17-year-old with a large flower in her lap, the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) have gone and given the same treatment to Miu Miu, who recklessly featured Hailee Steinfeld resting on a train track like a suicidal hobo in a 2k dress.

We know we shouldn’t aid what was already a fairly desperate publicity campaign for a new commercial station but Absolute Radio 60s announcement that records by Cliff Richard will be banned from their playlists is all we needed to hear to know never to listen to something that thinks of music only in terms of cool and uncool, like an embarrassing dad wearing his cap backwards.

Have you seen the Marc Jacobs campaign featuring Dakota Fanning? We saw it and thought ‘oh, there’s a nice young girl with a large perfume bottle in her lap’, but some other people with darker more warped minds saw it and felt that it was actually telling another story and that maybe the bottle was a metaphor for something else.

Heartbreakingly, Kanye’s fashion collection was savaged by the critics over the weekend. They said some truly terrible things, some hurtful, malicious things, and by the end of it poor Kanye was most likely in tears or, at the very least, one of his models. He might be a bit bonkers (and by bit we mean utterly, utterly without any kind of reservation), but he’s still got a heart. Does he not still bleed and cry like any other crazy person? Don’t forget that big Indian guy in One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest. He cried. Kanye’s a bit like him, except not silent, ever.
