There’s no denying that Elvis Presley is the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll – with a trademark smile and an infamous pelvis, he changed the face of music with his rockabilly style and scandalous dance moves. Alongside other stars of the 1940s and 50s like Buddy Holly, ‘the single most influential creative force in early rock and roll’, and the rebellious Johnny Cash, rock ‘n’ roll took the world by storm.

This side of the pond, British music fans were hit by Beatlemania as the Fab Four released hit after hit – selling more singles than any UK act in history. It has been eight years since Batman vanished into the night, turning, in that instant, from hero to fugitive. Assuming the blame for the death of D.A.
