So Madonna wasn’t the only star flirting with chains and studs at The Metropolitan Museum of Art at the weekend. The guest list for their Punk exhibition gala was brimming with famous ladies. Admittedly most of them seem to have no clue about what dressing punk means and just wore some really expensive frocks. And Jennifer Lopez misread the memo and came as a leopard. There’s always one.

Tom Hardy was merrily filming that ‘canine crime caper’ in Brooklyn when he was spotted by a kid presumably more familiar with the actor’s blockbusting role in Dark Knight Rises than tomhardyparty.com, Bronson or Inception. The said child later popped down to the set dressed in a Bane outfit and asked Tom to pose for a picture with him, a request the actor obliged with because he’s such a lovely gent (and because it would actually be humanly impossible to say no to such an awesome looking kid). But which is the cuter of the two?

As we count down to the Oscars, the glamorous stars of America are using all the remaining awards ceremonies to wear the dresses that didn’t make the cuts for the Academy Awards, and here we see them at the Costume Designers Guild Awards, all looking ace and hanging out together and generally having a better Tuesday night than you did.

It was the Costume Designers Guild Awards at the Beverley Hilton (where Whitney died, FYI) last night and a load of celeb-y people turned up to steal the glory from support their needle and thread wielding colleagues…  Considering the amount of trends that come from the screen (try escaping 20s flapper dresses next season!), it’s rather jolly nice that the costume designers get some recognition.
