What Celebrities Are Doing

We’ve not heard much from puss-faced, fat junkie Pete Doherty recently – we thought he’d packed his York Notes Poetry Guide in his cloth sack and headed off into the smog like Dick Witless months ago, but apparently he recently attempted a trip back to civilisation. Luckily this was thwarted by Amy Winehouse. Thank you, Winehouse. Now rest in peace.

Pete Doherty was sentenced to six months in prison for the possession of cocaine back in May. On July 6th, he was released. Now, forgive us if we’re wrong, we haven’t done maths in years, but doesn’t the period of May-July constitute two months, rather than six? We’ve probably just got our numbers mixed up. The British judicial system surely can’t be that slack. And especially not with a well-known celebrity figure. No, we’re sure he served his whole sentence and it’s just us being silly.

Pete Doherty’s always been a bit of a rebel, but no one could have predicted his latest unruly act. Forget the countless drug charges, forget the violent attacks on the paparazzi… they are tame mishaps in comparison to his latest offence. The singer was caught yesterday wearing a wig stolen from his barrister, who looked on in dismay at his wild actions outside the Crown Court.
