Waxahachie fire causes evacuations

Magnablend, at 100 W. Sterrett Road, just off U.S. 287 in Waxahachie, is in the midst of a raging plant fire, which is sending clouds of toxic smoke high into the air over the city. The fire broke out around 10:30 or 11 a.m. Monday. Navarro College’s Waxahachie Campus has been evacuated, according to administrators in Corsicana. A nearby Waxahachie elementary school was also evacuated.
