As far as we can tell The Hollywood Awards is another almost entirely meaningless Hollywood ceremony whose sole purpose is to give Oscar consolation prizes to any actors/actresses/producers who are willing to pay it. Which is why I’m especially disappointed that I didn’t get best supporting actress, breakthrough actor or best original screenplay. Apparently the sight of a crisp new twenty (and a fiver in change) no longer impresses in Tinseltown like it used to.
