Good news: it’s sunny outside! Bad news: no one knows what the fuck to wear! While the majority have chucked shorts on quicker than you can say ‘cottage cheese thighs’, we’re all for a more gradual acclimatisation – a la Alexa Chung and Kate Moss and their cropped trousers. Exposed ankles we can handle, so long as there’s a razor handy. Alternatively, there’s the colour route – as demonstrated by the multi-hued Beyonce and Rihanna. The former can do no wrong – not even wearing sunglasses at night. Unfortunately we can’t say the same for Chloe Sevigny or Katie Holmes…

Jeffrey Fashion Cares is an annual fashion fundraiser benefiting the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community and those with HIV/AIDS. Luckily it takes place in New York rather than pissy Manchester, so Chloe Sevigny could attend. What’s going on with her hair though? It looking like Kimberley Stewart’s circa the mid-noughties.

It’s not surprising that people get so excited about seeing David Beckham in his pants – he’s one of those people who look far better undressed than dressed, mainly because his wardrobe is full of monstrosities (go on then, and because he has a FIT body). Sarongs, massive collars, skull caps, open shirts, satin trousers, full-length leather jackets and roll necks, he’s done it all.

Samantha Cameron may have worn FOUR OUTFITS IN 48 HOURS (don’t we all if we include PJs?) while Kate Middleton had CORAL JEANS (J Brand, which doesn’t make it any more interesting), but Jennifer Lawrence has obviously been the undisputed fashion star of the week, which is fairly apt since her Hunger Games character has Panem’s best stylist working for her. In just a few days, she’s got through a backless Tom Ford number, a gold Prabal Gurung with side cut-outs and another metallic Ralph Lauren gown which apparently took over 800 hours to hand stitch. Eye-strain games more like.

You can criticise Kanye West for many things, but not for his lack of perseverance. After being universally slated on the catwalk last season, he was back in Paris last night for another run. Actually, that’s probably less perseverance, more having unbelievably thick skin, which links us nicely to his liberal use of thick furry animal skin. Kanye, try as you might with your slightly improved collection, but you’re not going to win us round with animal cruelty…
