Sandra Bullock came to London because she’s made a film. Look at her nice face

by admin on Jun.14, 2013, under Latest Celebrity Gossip

Sandra Bullock - lovely since 1987

Sandra Bullock has made some great films. There was, um… what was that one she did… with the man in it… and she was like…  Sandra Bullock has made some films. But she hasn’t made a film for a couple of years so it’s quite exciting to see her in London for the premiere of The Heat which is about, um, spies or crime or something. Most of them are. She’s still lovely and that’s the main thing. She might even be the best at being lovely. Certainly in the top five.

First trailer for Diana film surfaces, look hilarious in a terrible way

by admin on Jun.13, 2013, under Latest Celebrity Gossip

We’d actually forgotten about Diana – THE FILM right up until this trailer suddenly materialised on the internet last night. Now, having seen it, we’re not sure that was such a bad thing. The forgetting, that is. It looks a little bit like an SNL skit, and without the presence of Naomi Watts as Diana, probably should have been. People really should just give the whole Diana thing a rest.

This YouTube comment sums it up the best:

“Must be awesome being reminded that your moms dead all the fucking time”

Nice.

Film review: Monsters University – Pixar’s prequel is faultless and even funnier

by admin on Jun.10, 2013, under Latest Celebrity Gossip

Monsters University

Amongst critics and those with critical leanings there’s a received opinion that Disney Pixar’s films are simply not as good as they used to be. Since it’s only been three years since the immaculate Toy Story 3, it does seem to be a premature judgment based solely on Cars 2 having a weak (and illogical) story and Brave having an abrupt and predictable ending. But the company did set the bar almost unreachably high for themselves. How can they possibly match their defining 2001 comedy Monsters Inc. with a prequel? Well, they haven’t. They’ve bettered it.

Watch the trailer for Karen Gillan’s new film Not Another Happy Ending

by admin on Jun.07, 2013, under Latest Celebrity Gossip

Karen Gillan

Film trailers should probably be banned. They can turn brilliant films into box office flops (In Bruges) or they can make absolute abominations look tantalising (The Phantom Menace). Last night we saw a film that, based on the trailer, we had low hopes for. There’s an embargo on us telling you about it till next week but if we were allowed to tell you about it we’d say it’s faultless. So with that in mind let’s not assume this romantic comedy starring Amy Pond off of Doctor Who is truly, knee-bitingly terrible just because that’s how the trailer makes it look. There are probably some really funny bits that they’re not showing us. And maybe all the characters die at the end, as they clearly deserve to. So, you know… it might be brilliant.

Film Review: After Earth

by admin on May.31, 2013, under News

It's a cruel world out there for superstar Will Smith and his son Jaden in After Earth , this month's dystopian sci-fi morality tale. Audiences aren't likely to be kind to this slow, simplistic movie, no matter how hard director M. Night Shyamalan tries to pump up the story.
