The Look of Love is Steve Coogan’s newest film, a biopic about porn boss Paul Raymond’s life up until his (SPOILER: LIFE) daughter’s death. It stars Coogan as Paul Raymond, Ann Friel as his wife and Imogen Poots as his daughter. While the above pics are fantatsic and it’s just an absolute pleasure to see so many celebrities enjoying themselves, by far our favourite discovery is this man, Thumbs Up Thomas.

We don’t know his real name, so perhaps if any of you recognise him you could help us out. Steve Coogan certainly likes him.

While the gallery above from the premiere of super romantic film To The Wonder is still wonderful and fantastic and marvelous, the reason we actually wanted to put this up on the site is so we could mention Roger Ebert, who died the other day, specifically because this was the last film he ever reviewed. Here’s what he had to say:

“Well,” I asked myself, “why not?” Why must a film explain everything? Why must every motivation be spelled out? Aren’t many films fundamentally the same film, with only the specifics changed? Aren’t many of them telling the same story? Seeking perfection, we see what our dreams and hopes might look like. We realize they come as a gift through no power of our own, and if we lose them, isn’t that almost worse than never having had them in the first place?

There will be many who find “To the Wonder” elusive and too effervescent. They’ll be dissatisfied by a film that would rather evoke than supply. I understand that, and I think Terrence Malick does, too. But here he has attempted to reach more deeply than that: to reach beneath the surface, and find the soul in need.

Doesn’t make you want to watch it in the slightest, but he was a great film reviewer and will be hugely missed even by cold hearted bums like us.

YES THAT’S RIGHT, WE’RE NOW SHOEHORNING MEMORIALS INTO OUR GALLERIES. WAIT ‘TILL YOU SEE WHAT WE’VE DONE WITH MARGARET THATCHER/LONDON FASHION WEEK. IT’S A MASTERPIECE.

It’s just been confirmed that former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher has died of a stroke. She was old. And like many of you, we often said we’d have a street party when it finally happened. But we don’t much feel like it now. Not when the current Tory governent are more evil and callous and despicable and self-interested than she ever knew how to be. At least Maggie believed in the shit she did. She genuinely thought she was fucking up the country for its own good. This lot don’t believe in anything. So we’ll party when they’re dead. And not before.
