Morgan Freeman is 75-years-old. When we’re that age we’re just going to refuse to ever wake up. So we don’t blame him for nodding off during a TV interview about his new film Now You See Me. And anyway, Michael Caine was answering the question. Why not use the time to rest? Seems very sensible. Film junkets must be the most boring part of any actor’s job. With the inanity of questions they get asked it’s a wonder more of them don’t curl up on the floor with a sign saying “Wake me when you’re done asking me how I learn my lines, you perma-grinning imbecile.”

Gerard Butler has now made so many rom coms it’s hard to see him as anything other than that-man-you-see-every-day-who-you-may-not-have-noticed-but-he’s-noticed-you. Even with his time with the Spartans and a brief stint as a terrorist, the hardest thing about him is believing his American accent (OOOOOOOHHHHHHHH SSSNNNAAAAAAPPPPP!!!!!!). Ex-special forces? What did you do to your targets Gerard, cry them to death?
Which is probably why they brought Morgan Freeman into Olympus Has Fallen. He’s got a track record of solving crimes, making hard decisions, and being both God and The President, and is much more likely to be able to cope with a gunship opening fire on the Whitehouse than a man who openly weeps while watching his kids play sport.
