We’ve just had a mini-office argument about how to pronounce Lauren Goodger’s name. Is it gud-yer or goojur? Do let us know. Anyway, as these people tend to do, Lauren has started an online business selling the kind of stuff you’d need if you wanted to look like Lauren Goodger. And who doesn’t want to look like Lauren Goodger? Except perhaps our mum. And some of her friends. And the woman who lives over the road. And… you get the idea with that. Anyway, the online eyelash shop is called Lauren’s Way. Is that a pun or something? We can’t work it out.

It’s a dilemma we all must face at some time in our lives – how should we respond when terrible people do things for charity? Are we still allowed to be deeply and disproportionately unpleasant about the likes of Katie Price, Lauren Goodger, Nicola McLean and Lizzy Cundy when they’re doing their best to raise awareness about this year’s Jeans For Genes day – which raises money for Genetic Disorders UK and aims to change the world for children with genetic disorders? Or is this their one day of the year when, like that football match in WW1 that everyone still bangs on about, where meet them in a celebrity no-man’s land, shake hands and declare a temporary truce. Why PETA would want any of the TOWIE crowd involved in their anti-fur protests is beyond us. Surely if anyone’s going to be encouraging people to wear real fur and animal skin, it’s going to be the TOWIE lot constantly using the fake stuff.

Limping 26 miles as your your nipples bleed into your toe nail-less trainers is very stupid, yet also really quite incredible if you’re raising money for charity. We’d give the same amount of cash to someone running 5k, but that’s not really the point – the London Marathon is an institution so it’s understandable that people want to take part even if they’re not athletes. It’s the trying that counts. Take the late Jade Goody, who did eight miles of the course before getting stretched off into an ambulance. Or the Kaiser Chief’s Ricky Wilson, who collapsed two miles before the finish line. Poor Ricky. Poor Jade

At this point in the proceedings, it seems that almost everyone from The Only Way Is Essex has their own invested interests in some product or other; Joey Essex has his own t-shirts in Selfridges, Amy Childs has been in Vogue, Nanny Pat has her own haute cuisine book coming out in August with the World’s first 3D workout DVD to combat the sausage plait bloat and Superdrug will be releasing an umbrella brand of TOWIE branded cosmetics, so it hasn’t come as a major surprise that Lauren Goodger, who might possibly be the same person as Alex Curran, is finding her own fashion feet.
