What Celebrities Are Doing

It was the Gotham Independent Film Awards last night – we’re sure you’re all champing at the bit to find out who the winners were, but let’s first take a moment to look at the faces on the red carpet. They were some pretty good ones…

First up we have Jared Leto who came straight from his role as a transvestite man in The Dallas Buyers Club and thus had no eyebrows. If someone had a Sharpie and collagen jab handy, they could’ve successfully created Rylan. Which would’ve been fun for all.

Elsewhere, we have Berger from Sex and the City, the father of Geri Halliwell’s child, Emily Blunt looking suspiciously not like Emily Blunt, Ethan Hawke, pregnant Lara Stone and Matt Damon dressed as Heston Blumenthal and Agyness Deyn in Jimmy Krankie’s suit.

The Gotham Awards, an ‘annual ceremony of awards presented to the makers of independent films’ took place on Monday night. Supposedly they’re a pretty good indicator for the Oscars, which is bad news for anyone who thought The Tree of Life was a three hour pretentious wankathon, but good news for people who think wearing glasses without lenses is a reasonable thing to do.

If there are any of you left out there who don’t want to know the entire plot of Batman The Dark Knight by the time it actually arrives in the cinemas, then look away now, as we’ve managed to find another two videos of a fight scene between Batman and Bane being filmed on what we have to assume are the steps of Gotham City Hall. Which in real life is in Pittsburgh. Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s also in there somewhere, although we’re buggered if we can see him.
