At no point when we were watching The X Factor and Rylan started singing, did we think “I like this, but he needs to be wearing less”. So who has been demanding exactly that? Someone must have been thinking it, because Cosmopolitan yesterday set up a photoshoot with Rylan to feature him as one of their naked centrefolds. Why? If people want X Factor contestants naked, then surely that’s how they can get the viewing figures back up – just get all the contestants singing live…naked. That actually doesn’t sound too bad until you realise that it would mean you’d have seen Wagner’s little chap – no thanks.

It seems Rylan couldn’t wait for everyone to see him in his birthday suit though, so he tweeted a couple of pictures of his nude self from behind the scenes of the photoshoot. A shoot before the shoot, you may say. One of the pics includes his make-up artist crouched in front of his naked crotch, only covered by Rylan’s hands. Is that somewhere that needs make-up? Was there any need for her to be down there, or did she just grab the chance with both hands? Get it? ‘The chance’. You thought we were going to say penis, but we said ‘the chance’. OH CHEER UP.

She tweeted him afterwards telling him “You’ve made my Christmas”. We don’t want to know how.
