What Celebrities Are Doing

Literally tens of Americans were up in arms during Wednesday night’s 121212 hurricane Sandy charity relief concert after Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger accidentally insinuated the hurricane was basically just a bit of rain:

To be fair to Mick, he’s not totally wrong, but the key thing to remember with hurricanes that differentiates them from a standard downpour is that they are a bit of rain with hundred mile an hour winds. The acronym we use to help us remember is FARTS; Fast Air, Really Terrifying Situation.

As mentioned, Mick’s little faux pas made quite a few ‘Mericans furious, because a) they helped us out in doubleya doubleya two and b) Twitter is now where you have those arguments you previously used to ony have in your head while having a shower:

Unsurprisingly, Mick couldn’t give two shits…

Haha. World War II indeed. It might have been a bloody stupid thing to say (especially at the relief concert, in the affected area, just after it happened) but still….Twats.

There wasn’t just one amazing grunge supergroup at the 12-12-12 Hurricane Sandy charity bash in New York. In a line-up that made Live 8 look shit (Oh wait… Birmingham’s Party In The Park made Live 8 look shit) Paul McCartney joined a renuited Nirvana and played a whole brand new song, instead of ruining the old ones. And Eddie Vedder joined Pink Floyd. Sort of. What next? Michael Stipe joining Coldplay? Ah… that happened too.
