We thought this Michael Jackson tribute show thing was going to be a bit of a mess. There’s been controversy over where the money is going, it’s divided half of the Jackson family in half, the trial regarding his death is currently ongoing and the biggest acts – Beyonce, Chris Brown, Black Eyed Peas and Jennifer Hudson – all pulled out. But then we found out Craig David was performing and forgot all of that in an instant. This was the ultimate tribute to the King of Pop.

The TV BAFTA nominations have just been released, which reads a bit like the listings section of TV Quick – we’ve got Mad Men, Eastenders, One Born Every Minute, The Trip, Pineapple Dance Studio, Boardwalk Empire, Doctor Who, Downton Abbey, The Killing, Come Dine With Me. It’s difficult to decide at some of these events whether the celebrities are there for free goods or just to promote themselves. Based on the fact that this is a Pokemon launch, we’re assuming it’s going to be attended by various skint, yet famous, people just popping along to pick up a copy of the game for their kids. Of course, in the wild and wonderful world of non-sequiturs this means that everyone there is trying to pick up a game for their sproglets, so in conclusion, JLS ALL HAVE SECRET LOVE CHILDREN.
