At first glance the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards look like a nice fun gunge party for children, but if you scrutinise the nominations you quickly realise that it’s a devious multiple choice personality test organised by scientists in an old McCarthy bunker… That’s why Bon Jovi is there as an option under ‘favourite music group’. And why Johnny Depp must win every year despite the kids only knowing him as ‘that pirate’. The kids are confused but they’ve got green slime and Katy Perry’s boobs to hypnotise them.

Because John Mayer is a Professional Boyfriend, his dating service can only last so long, which means, alas, him and Katy Perry are no longer. We wonder where he’ll be helping out next? We hear Rosario Dawson is newly single and ready to mingle… Or perhaps it’ll be Katie Holmes? Oooh, we like that one.

But anyway, John and Katy – the couple no one called Kohn or Merry – started seeing each other last summer, and the singer-type even said in an interview:

“I don’t feel like I’m in a celebrity relationship. I don’t feel it for the first time of my life… I really don’t. I’m not even in a high-profile (relationship)… I know it’s high-profile, but it’s hard to explain. It doesn’t feel that way to me and it’s great and I’m glad…”

However, a source has just told Us Weekly:

“It’s sad… It’s not over until it’s over. You have to see how things play out. (Perry)’s leaving the window open. They have both been so focused on work.”
