AN ACTUAL PROPER FASHION AWARD. We’ll get our coat. And swap it for an anorak. He wins.

Liam’s been carefully considering what Noel’s been saying these past few weeks. The furious fightin’ spirit between the two brothers has seemingly reduced from that of a mega-volcano to a gently boiling pot of vegetables, let’s say salad potatoes or maybe peas. So much has Liam’s po-faced demeanour eased that he’s even seemingly ready to enter reconciliatory talks with the writer of much of Oasis’ music, his brother Noel.

We’ve lost track of what the deal is with Robbie Williams these days – is he still on the Red Bull or does he have a thyroid problem? Not sure, but his new clothing line, which was launched at London’s House of Fraser yesterday, will probably do alright.  Men who like to wear slightly pointy shoes, loose jeans, over-coats and maybe sometimes a flat cap (if they’re feeling adventurous) will probably like it. 40-something men who have mod comb-overs and a penchant for anoraks will continue to buy Pretty Green. Fashionable men will carry-on shopping at Cos, A.P.C and Uniqlo. Everyone will be happy, good times ahead!

Since Liam Gallagher decided to take his little disagreement with Noel to the courts this week, we have, in turn, decided to turn to monitor their progress and keep score throughout their court battle as if it were a game of squash. Noel claims that the cancelled V Festival gig that led to Oasis’ demise was due to Liam suffering from a hangover, while Liam says it’s because he was diagnosed with laryngitis. Until now, it was all square between the pair – with no proof either way – but Noel’s now taken an early lead, going one up on Liam after a picture has emerged of the Beady Eyed man swigging Guinness the night before the cancelled gig.

After so many underqualified celebrities last week offered us their infinitely valuable opinions on the recent Hackney carpet riots, it seems only fair and logical that we should now turn to the Gallaghers for answers. After all, they’ve been fighting with each other since the very dawn of time itself and must have some idea why normal, non-violent, perennially unemployed people would decide to loot Poundlands across the nation. Especially since that’s always kind of been their market if you know what we mean.
