It was the 13th annual NRJ awards, in Cannes this weekend. Adele won some things. And some people who weren’t. Hilariously, Mika won International Male Artist of the Year. Mika! Europeans are funny. The talk on the Internet is that Female Artist of the Year Shy’m might have a nicer face to look at than Shakira, who was given the NRJ Award of Honor, alongside Justin Bieber (i.e. the Thanks For Turning Up award). Hmm. We’ll be the judge of that.

We heard Huey play this on 6 Music at the weekend and immediately rushed to the Internet to see what it could tell us. And what the Internet told us is that Emma Russack is from Narooma, New South Wales, used to sing with a band called Lola Flash, and caused a bit of a stir singing cover versions on YouTube (as is often the way nowadays). Interestingly that account has now been deleted so we guess Emma feels the cover version period of her career is over. We’re fine with that.

Yes, yes. We know that BBC4’s We’ll Take Manhattan is a drama about the early career of fashion photographer David Bailey and his relationship with model superstar Jean “The Shrimp” Shrimpton. But in our minds it’s an episode of Doctor Who where Amy Pond goes back in time to 60s London and has her picture taken.

Christina Hendricks was recently named the face/wrist/neck/chest of a Vivienne Westwood jewellery line called ‘Get A Life’ (hopefully that B*witched song is the soundtrack – ‘get a loife’) – and here she is at the launch in Los Angeles… Yes, you’re actually meant to be looking at her left breast this time (and even if you’re not a jewellery fan, it is in fact National Cleavage Day)…

Gruesome twosomes alert: Anthony Costa and Cheryl Baker, as well as Alex Reid and Lizzie Cundy. Also, James Franco and James Franco (getting intimate together). Meanwhile, Liam Gallagher and George Lamb try to out-bellend each other with their outfits, Adriana Lima show off her bra and Russell Brand replaces Katy Perry with someone more dynamic.
