You can demand a ridiculous rider and nobody bats an eyelid. Well they do, but you don’t care, because you’re Mariah Carey. Hell, you can shut down Disneyland for your vow renewal and nobody goes “hang on a second, isn’t that a bit excessive, and also juvenile?” Well, of course, they do. But you’re Mariah Carey so, you know.

A couple of years ago we were reporting that Will Smith’s marriage to Jada Pinkett Smith was over. But since then it’s become apparent that it wasn’t. At the time many blamed the pair’s supposed open door policy with regards to liaisons of the sexual kind with people not involved in their holy bond IF YOU KNOW WHAT WE MEAN. 

However, while those rumours never exactly went away, they were soon to be usurped in our minds by the righteous irritation we were all feeling at Will and Jada’s sproglets, the imaginatively named Will-o and Jada-n. What a naughty little ratbag he is.

But don’t worry team, THE RUMOURS ARE BACK ON! For you see, during a recent interview Jada had this to say when asked about exactly who was boning who in their marriage:

“I’ve always told Will, ‘You can do whatever you want as long as you can look at yourself in the mirror and be okay,’” she told HuffPost Live’s Marc Lamont Hill. “Because at the end of the day, Will is his own man. I’m here as his partner, but he is his own man. He has to decide who he wants to be and that’s not for me to do for him. Or vice versa.”

If there’s ever been a more veiled threat, we haven’t heard it. Eat cake in bed indeed.

Oh dear. It’s usually best not to ask actors what they think about important issues. They are not like us, they just pretend to be for money. Which can be the only excuse for Jeremy Irons making this horrendous rambling connection between equal marriage rights for gay people and the crime of incest. He isn’t saying gay sex is the same as incest. He’s just saying… well, you try and figure it out. He may have gone mad.
