How long do Olympic medal winners usually carry their medals around with them for? Is it a set amount of time or a set amount of celebrity events? Are there some Olympic events that get to carry them around for longer, or is it only the ones where you probably wouldn’t recognise the person if they didn’t have their medal that get to have them, like shooting or horseriding? Do you have to insure the medals yourself, or does the IOC do it? Can you get the medals repaired if they get a dink on them?
