All the people we listen to every day won shiny metal prizes at the Sony Radio Academy Awards at Grosvenor House. Well not everyone otherwise that would make the awards meaningless. Lauren “shingles” Laverne got Silver awards for Best Music Programme and Music Radio Personality of the Year, while Jarvis Cocker got Bronze in the Music Programme category. Steve Lamacq got the special Gold Award for services to Carter The Unstoppable Sex Machine. Possibly. And Cerys Matthews took home the top prize for Music Broadcaster of the Year.
