What Celebrities Are Doing

It’s hard to take anything Jodie Marsh says seriously. This is partially because her incessant need for public approval means she’s willing to do anything to make people look at her, and partially because she seemingly paints herself with Cuprinol before she goes to work.

Recently however, she’s realised that if you want the public to like you, simply turning yourself the colour of the coffee table isn’t the best way to do it. You need to find a cause everyone can agree with and then make sure you constantly tell everyone that anything public you’re doing is in aid of that cause. That way, no-one can criticise you without sounding like they hate disabled orphan kittens.

The cause Jodie’s chosen is bullying (against, rather than for), and admittedly it’s a cause she’s been championing for a while, and obviously a good cause to support, but we’re not sure why it now means she should be a guest on the Jonathan Ross Show. Here was her Twitter call to arms:

“Please can everyone ask @wossy to have me on his show to promote my #antibullying shows coming out. We need the whole country to watch them!”

To which he replied:

“Getting your followers to hound me is exactly the right way to ensure you never get asked on.”

“Very strange experience getting bullied by people wanting me to help stop bullying.”

Jodie wasn’t too happy, immediately declaring Ross to be in league with the bullies:

“Well you lot are AMAZING! I wasn’t expecting him to be quite so rude & uncaring when we’re just trying to do a good thing. Lost respect.”

“Didn’t I say earlier that high profile people don’t want to help…….. Sad sad times! Well we tried folks. And I love you so much for it x”

“16,000 students in UK are currently too scared to go to school due to bullying & are refusing to go! Such a shame the big names don’t care!”

“I wonder how he’d feel if one of his kids was being bullied? Do you think it’d be a different story? X x”

“No no, really it’s ok. Just get another “star” on to talk about drugs & their new film & their new single. Don’t worry about saving lives x”

“To clarify, we were “hounding” him for a good reason & we were asking nicely. Why WOULDN’T someone want to help the cause? Beats me…. X”

“And if I have to suffer the embarrassment of being publicly shunned then so be it. I want to help people. My own feelings don’t matter x x”

Naturally, before too long it was back to business as usual:

“Speaking of fresh, my new product launches at 12pm today #NEPTOX It’s like having a colonic irrigation but no mess!”

We’re sure it is.

At this point it’s probably worth reminding ourselves of a few of Jodie’s old quotes, just to provide a bit of context:

“I’m constantly trying to make people like me. I’ve spent ten years trying to get the British public to like me. They don’t take me seriously. I think that very thick and very ignorant people think I do it for publicity”

“2013 is going to be even busier than 2012. It’s so crazy, I haven’t even got time for men! For a guy to get me into bed at this point, he needs to be someone who is seriously going to blow my mind. I’ve had threesomes, I’ve had orgies … I’ve done all the crazy stuff.”

“They [The TOWIE cast] live in a different world. Everything I do is real and I don’t think anything they do is real. I think everyone is bisexual. Given the right situation or the right amount of alcohol or whatever it takes, people will do anything with anyone.”

So in summary: great cause, awful person. Posting pictures of yourself topless on a sunbed before promoting a serious anti-bullying message isn’t going to get you the best response.

After her husband cheated on her with Kristen Stewart last year, Liberty Ross has just announced she is filing for divorce – coincidentally the very same week that she appears fully nude in Love magazine. Well how about that then.

Some interested parties have been all, like, ‘you go, GIRL – show him what he’s missing!’ while others have been a bit more cynical about the whole thing (there are a couple of kids involved). Whatever the case, Liberty is in fact a model so she’s just doing her job really (erm, modelling no clothes in a fashion magazine), which means the only real thing she’s rubbing it in about with her ex is the fact that she’s got work and he hasn’t. Ha.

She does look great though, doesn’t she? We’d never be so crude as to compare these shots with Kristen Stewart’s topless scene. Never. Anyway, if RPattz has a little tug over these pics, they’ll all be sort of equal. Hooray.
