If you were getting all excited that Cameron Diaz was about to become the third Mrs Magic Spaceman Cruise, you need to check yourself before you get unnecessarily lathered up about a couple that isn’t even happening. Because Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz aren’t seeing each other.

We never believed those scurrilous rumours. For one, Cameron Diaz is tall and likes heels. For two, she’d never stand in a hole for photos, a la Katie Holmes.

Also, she seems a bit too normal and fun to be allowed into L Ron’s Cupboard.

The rumours have been around since last year that George Lucas would continue his wholesale desecration of your childhood by making another terrible Star Wars film, this time about the already over-inflated bit part that is Boba Fett. And now a domain has been registered in what was, apparently, the bounty hunter’s alias in a spin-off novel that we’ll never read. So it’s probably happening. Won’t that be nice?

Does anyone else find Katy Perry and Rihanna’s friendship a bit suspect and manufactured? We just don’t see them getting on that well – Perry seems fairly smart whilst her supposed ‘BFF’ seems a bit dim. We wouldn’t even be that surprised if at some point in the future Rihanna made eyes at Russell Brand, although obviously the usual dating rules don’t apply when it’s only a sham friendship anyway so it wouldn’t be that bad of her. STILL, the pair do have a few things in common, like being international  stars who are also both single, apparently…
