What Celebrities Are Doing

Well, thank God for that. Vinnie Jones and Jason Statham are finally opening their own fish and chip shop in LA. The number of times we’ve heard you lot whinge and whine about how there just aren’t enough celebrity fast food outlets around, and now you’ve got exactly what you want, even if it is from two of our meatiest-headed exports and perhaps not a pair you’d naturally associate with the restaurant industry. Anyone who pretends to kick people in the head for a living has got to be a bit of a risk around boiling chip oil.

It’s always a bit weird when you see someone at one of these celebrity events who genuinely seems to have absolutely no connection to anyone else there. At Sarah Harding’s engagement party Jason Statham was that man. What possible connection could have have to either Sarah or Tom? Perhaps he used to bang it large on a massive mash-up pill tip, or whatever the slang is these days, and that’s where he met Tommy Two shoes.

Either way, we needed to find out, so we sent the intern to go and do some research, the little wastrel. He came back with nothing, then we tried to do our own research for once. We also came back with nothing.

We like you Jason Facekicker Statham, but you sure are an enigma. A dirty enigma.

Mix of action and acting suits Jason Statham
It’s not often one enters a room with a person who could presumably kill with his bare hands. Fortunately, it turns out that what Jason Statham’s co-stars have said about him holds up, and he comes across as downright chummy. Or, at least, unwilling to kill the press.

LOADS of people at the GQ Men of the Year Awards last night, which might say something about the consecutive Mercury Prize. Here they all are arriving; Jon Hamm and his wife, her from 24, Lily Allen, still surprising everyone by being pregnant and looking pregnant, Alexa Chung dressed up as a standard lamp, Mark Ronson looking FUCKING ridiculous, and Daisy Lowe and new boyfriend Matt Smith laughing at him because of it.
