We’re looking forward to seeing Made Of Stone. Mainly because we’re huge fans of Shane Meadows but also because we had to sign a release form so that Holy Moly could feature in the documentary. We like any film that we’re in, even if it is just us being incredibly rude about the Stone Roses reunion and deliberately annoying their supporters by accompanying the story with a picture of the Inspiral Carpets. One day obsessive fans of bands will learn not to read our nonsense. One day.

The decision to have the Stone Roses headline Coachella was a strange one – what with them being relatively unknown in the US. But also because, as gratifying as their reunion might be, Ian Brown is still in a complicated relationship with singing in tune. I Am The Resurrection has always been a bugger for Brown’s vocal flaps. But this weekend they went into some kind of Indian raga mode. Shame the rest of The Stone Roses were still playing the song in the Western tonal system. Philistines.

Remember two years ago when police arrested two men in Devon over a suspected murder plot involving Joss Stone, some swords, rope and a body bag? Well, it’s now gone to court. At the time Joss said the allegations had left her ‘in pieces’ (not literally, thankfully) so she’ll be very glad to be able to finally put it all behind her. 

However, the two men – called ‘Junior Bradshaw and Kevin Liverpool’ (erm) – deny the charges brought against them, and the trial is expected to take up to three weeks, so Lindsay Lohan will be out of court having served her sentence and enjoyed a 20 day holiday by the time Joss gets her verdict.

In the meantime, we may as well watch this again and send Joss our best…
