In news that will shock nobody, surprise nobody and interest maybe only eight or nine people, Tulisa has formally confirmed that she will not be on the X Factor judging panel this year. Given that her firing was all but confirmed weeeeeeeeks ago, and rumours of her staying seemed shaky at best, it’s not exactly news. Given that her solo album limped spectacularly to number 35 in the charts, and her general demeanour on the X Factor is best described as “a bit shit, though, yeah?” we were pretty gobsmacked to hear the news that, despite all reports to the contrary, Tulisa Contostavlos actually hasn’t been axed from the X Factor. It would seem that she has been saved from the dole queue by virtue of Nicole Scherzinger declining the chance to return to the show, as she wants to work on her album.

Tulisa out of N-Dubz and The X Factor did one of her gigs recently. That must’ve been nice for the people there to see the main act Ne-Yo. Or it was a half hour that felt like time had stopped. We don’t know. But we got to thinking how ridiculous her “The Female Boss” tattoo is.  It’s a 1970s Carry On film idea of women in the workplace masquerading as 21^st century empowerment. And as far as we know she isn’t a boss of anything. So we’ve come up with some alternatives.

In terms of Things We’d Like To Believe Are True, Tulisa leaving X Factor is up there with that story about someone being sucked out of an airplane while they were having a poo. Unfortunately, we find it hard to believe that it would ever actually happen because the job pays so well, crappy tattos are surprisingly expensive and the ex-NDubber has got a real penchant for badly drawn shit on her skin. Still, we can dream, can’t we? 

This is what a friend of hers had to say about the singer cum presenter:

“Tulisa had a blazing row with ­producers when she found out Nicole was coming back. She can’t stand working with her and Tulisa is not enjoying the job at all. The ­producers couldn’t wait to get rid of her. She turned her dressing room into a nightclub and would boom out loud music. Despite leading Little Mix to victory in season one, she wasn’t as available to her acts off-stage as people think. Tulisa got the hump when she was warned about her behaviour.”

Ok, so the idea that we’d dream about X Factor is a sad and heartbreaking one, but the idea of Tulisa leaving the public eye to go back to creating sweet, sweet music with her currently-under-investigation-for-assault ex-bandmate Dappy, that’s something we could get behind.

To be fair to Tulisa however, it’s a bloody tough job. Bloody tough.

Many of us will have spent Christmas listening to our parents’ sage advice on what we should be doing with our lives. “A Walnut Whip is not breakfast!” they tell us. But do we listen? Lovable, gang-affiliated, solo flop Tulisa has been on the receiving end of her dad’s plan for her career. We think she should ignore it. We’ve done some very approximate maths and his figures don’t add up. Maybe he’s working in old money.

Tulisa hasn’t had a good year, bless her. What with the sex tape coming out, and her album doing horrifically in the charts – she needed some cheering up. What better way to do it than to be paid to stand and have your photo taken, and be able to wear some nice new clothes? Sounds good to us.

According to Sheer Magazine who conducted the shoot, the photos are meant to show Tulisa’s “charming and elegant” side. We know that we haven’t seen this side of her before and we don’t think it exists. So has the magazine managed to do it?

Well they tried. To be honest, we’re looking at these pictures still wondering how Tulisa managed to get FHM’s Sexiest Woman in The World 2012 – out of everyone in the entire world, Tulisa. Seriously? Everyone else seems to be going mental over Tulisa and these pictures, but is it only us that thinks she’s just okay?

Oh and one of the outfits looks like a cross between funeral clothes and an air hostess’ uniform. Take a look if you don’t believe us!
